I agree, the view for the Angel Fire Mountains is always breathtaking. More than just being on top of the mountain, enjoying the fresh air… if you love nature – it is one of the most perfect places for those who truly want to be in the great outdoors. Thanks for sharing those awesome photos!

Today was another typical summer day in Angel Fire. 40’s when I woke up this morning and the sound of the humming birds outside my window reminding me it was time to put out feeders for the day as I do each morning around 6:30. I have friends visiting this week and one of them remrked the other day “there everywhere”. That said I want remind all who visit the Moreno Valley that we are in bear country and it is wise to always bring your feeders in at night, Humming and regular bird feeders alike. Even in the daytime watch for our large lumbering friends as I was remined today when I stopped by my sisters house to pick something up and looked out the front window. There they were paw prints all over the front glass and 1 less humming bird feeder than there should be. These ceatures are more afraid of you than you realize. However it’s like feeding a stray they will always return to where they have found food. As my sister was reminded today you can’t always be home to watch for them but when you are “be bear aware” we all have to share the forest.

Summer is fast approaching. The temps are already getting over 70! It’s HOT!
This is such a great time in the Moreno valley. The bears are awake and prowling around. The elk are back from their winter feeding grounds. The mule deer never leave. We have so much to see and do. If you like fishing we have that. If you are a birder, bring your binoculars.
Just come on out and see for yourself!

Angel Fire Mountain views are always breath-taking. On a clear day they appear vague and distant. Rainy days the peaks appear above the clouds…they seem to move closer. When snow covers the mountains and the sun shines brightly they seem close enough to touch. I often stand and gaze at the mountains in awe…it refreshes my soul. Hope that you come out to visit our high mountain country soon.

Today was one of those days that you know in your heart why you call this home. As I stepped out the front door and felt the cool fall air hit my skin, I was greeted by the crystal blue skies back dropping the changing Aspens. Also I was greeted by half a dozen Elk in my yard. As I watched them grazing their way through I silently thanked God for leading me to this place I call home.
